.........................................Anatomy and Asana Workshop.........................................
The Alchemy of Anatomy and Asana
with Sarah Johansson Locke
Vira Yoga
580 Broadway between Prince and Houston, 2nd floor
Saturdays September 12th and 26th from 1-4pm
This workshop series explores kinesthetic anatomy in relation to the Anusara principles. We will study the form
and function of the body through discussion and visual aids as well as through asana and movement exercises, so
that we can directly apply this information to our practice. In this way, the study of anatomy will give us
fuller access to the connection of body, mind, and spirit. By learning more about the body and the breath, we
become more articulate, empowered, and present in our experience, both on and off the mat.
September 12th:
Breath: presence and flow + Bones and muscles: energy and action
September 26th:
Organs: vitality and support + Fluids: transformation and balance
Cost: $160/both, $90/one session (if space allows)
Please pre-register by emailing staff@virayoga.com
